Nurture Your Center with Vinyasa Yoga

Nurture Your Center with Vinyasa Yoga

Yoga is a great way to nurture your center. We all live in a vast world that brings us something new daily. Let’s not forget the stressors our day may bring and how easily we can forget to center ourselves.

If we don’t make the time to center ourselves (even if it is just for a couple of minutes throughout the day), we are more likely to be annoyed, frustrated, panicked, and more. To avoid this, nurture your center with Vinyasa yoga.

In previous blogs, we discussed what Vinyasa is (the transcript word “vi” is to place while the word “nyasa” means in a special way). We also discussed what you need to know before your first Vinyasa class. So now, let’s nurture our center with Vinyasa yoga.

Understanding the Very Purpose of Vinyasa

Understanding the purpose of Vinyasa will help you better nurture your center. For example, do you know how you can easily center yourself with breathwork/ deep breaths? The very purpose of Vinyasa is to use the breath to align with the mind, body, and spirit.

Here at Yoga Tribe Brooklyn (YTB), we offer different levels of Vinyasa classes. No matter which classes you attend, your mind-body-spirit connection will strengthen. Align your breath through your practice and be a part of something bigger.

Connectivity

Vinyasa classes make you concentrate. Based on our attentiveness and mindfulness practices,  this will determine how long it takes for us to focus in these classes. However, the concertation you will gain over time strengthens your lungs, you be more mindful on and off the mat, and you’ll be more at peace with life.

Connecting breath to movement is a beautiful way to nurture your center. How many times do you forget that you are breathing throughout your day? How many times do you forget that you have a body? Our bodies do a million things daily to ensure we function, yet we don’t connect them as often as we should. When practicing Vinyasa, you are attentive to the now and mindful of yourself. This is very nurturing to the mind, body, and spirit.

It’s All Temporary

No one Vinyasa class is the same. However, Vinyasa classes stress the temporary nature of things. We are there for a while with each pose we enter, and then we leave. Understanding that it is all temporary will help nurture your center.

How many times in life do we think about how it’s never going to end? Whether it’s a meeting,  traffic, heartbreak, or something else. We think about how this uneasy feeling/emotion will last us forever. But it won’t. Vinyasa yoga reminds us that it’s all temporary. We nurture our center when we understand that life (both on and off the mat) is temporary.

Nurturing your center is a must. Vinyasa is a great class to take to do so. Are you ready to nurture your center with Vinyasa classes? Sign up here.
