At Least Five Things You Didn’t Know About Your Instructor, Pascale!

At Least Five Things You Didn’t Know About Your Instructor, Pascale!

A couple of weeks ago, you got to know a little more about your yoga instructor, Monica. So, what did you learn about her? What did you already know about her that you knew before? What was your favorite part of the interview?

This week, we will be focusing on your yoga instructor, Pascale! I’m sure there are some things you didn’t know about her before that you’ll soon find out. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. YTB is an extraordinary yoga studio. You and their instructors are a massive piece as to why.

What is your go-to Pose and why? What are some of the benefits of the pose you have chosen?
I chose Camel pose and to hold it for 3 to 5 minutes. I will be concentrating on three meridians:  the stomach, the lungs, and the heart.

Lengthen from knees to eyes. Next, the Stomach Meridian moves down the face, by the corners of the mouth, down the throat, behind the collar bones, down the chest, through the nipples,  down the front of the ribcage, abdomen, along the sides of the navel, down to the corners of the pubic bone. Concentrate there. Then it runs down the quadriceps, front of the thigh muscle, to the outer corners of the knees.

Concentrate in the solar plexus, above the navel, deep inside the body, in front of the spine. From here, the energy divides and rises up through the lung organs inside the chest. Imagine the energy running through the lung organs. Extend down through the thumbs and expand the lungs. Now concentrate inside the heart organ. The Heart energy emerges in the deepest parts of the armpits. Sense those points. From here, the heart energy runs down the innermost biceps, to the inner crease of the elbow, down the forearm, to the innermost wrist crease, at the base of the little finger, across the palm, and into the little finger. Concentrate on the little fingers. Heart.

If you had to stay in a yoga pose for 24 hours, which one would it be? Sukhasana

What was yoga-like for you in the beginning?

A liberation, a language, an initiation to communicate with myself without the words—a  discovery of a different consciousness.

What would you advise new yogis?

To listen to what is within.

Do you have a favorite yogi/guru that inspires you? If so, who and why? Sadhguru

If you got to go on a funded yoga retreat for one week and you bring one person/pet, where would you retreat to and who would you bring?

I would go to a place anywhere as long as I make the journey meaningful. I would love to bring my dog and also a dear friend like Jessica.

If yoga manifested into a person, fell head over heels for you, and even proposed to you, would you marry them/date them or friend-zone them? Why?

Not sure. Hard question.

How has your practice/teaching changed in the last 2 years?

I practice a lot and teach weekly, twice. The teaching has evolved in the sense that I’m more aware of the energy that I bring into the room and will share with people. I focus more on the present moment and respond to whom is in the room. I try to serve the people who show up with attention, kindness, joy, peace, and bliss so that eventually, we can heal.

You’ve got to know your instructors, Alex, Monica, and now Pascale! And guess what, this is only the tip of the ice burg.
