Listening to the kinesthetic voice.

Sometimes our body can tell us more about what’s right and wrong than our mind.

Because our two million-year-old brain doesn’t want us to be happy, it wants us to survive.

Years ago my therapist taught me to ask the question, how can I make friends with this feeling?

And so, whatever arises in the body during yoga, we choose to greet it with a welcoming heart and accept it as a normal part of the life experience. We put our arm around it, thank it for stopping by, and ask what we’re supposed to be learning from the situation.

When you learn to love whatever arises, nobody can steal your peace. When you’re willing to change your relationship to your discomfort, relaxation is never far away.

Next time your brain convinces you that something is missing, remember, your mind is a moron.

Listen to your body instead. It may have different information.

What are you listening to?
