06 Sep Relax into your yoga reality
What if yoga is harder than you thought?
What if your practice isn’t where you thought it would be at this stage in the journey?
What if you’re not making as much progress as the other students in your class?
What if you can’t touch your head to your knee yet?
These are all fair questions. Yoga comes with an infinity of what ifs.
But the answer is the same for each one.
Wherever you are in your practice, it’s okay. There are no rules, there is no winning, there are no judges and there is no finish line. There is only acceptance of the pace of your progress in becoming who you want to be.
Relax into your yoga reality. Believe that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. And try not to be so hard on yourself.
Because the price of healing is accepting reality for what it is.
If you can’t touch your toes today, let it go. Your toes will still be there tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.
It’s only a matter of time.
Are you giving yourself the gift of forgiveness?
